The Lord gives us the strongest hint of His return in the Olivette discourse when He says:

Matt. 24:36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son,* but the Father only. For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

At least two very important points are made in this statement that should help us to understand His return and what we will experience at His return

When Yeshua says “no man … not even the Son, knows the Day nor hour,” He is hinting at the Jewish Marriage ceremony of His day, where we see the father of the groom sending his son to go and bring the Bride back to the House of the father where the bride and groom consummate their marriage nuptials and are joined together in their new life together.

“Only the father knows the time.” A very obscure and mysterious saying unless you study Jewish marriage customs in first century Israel.

Yeshua also refers to the “days of Noah” as being the sign of the times that we need to understand and be aware of.

Often Yeshua would have us study and understand the Torah and other writings in the Tenakh (“Old Testament”) so that we can understand the times we live in.

Remember, He held Israel accountable for not knowing the time of her visitation.

This week’s Torah portion is Noah. Study it to understand the signs of our times.
